The Project Office

The Project Office is a unique department in Jamiatul Ummah. It was set up in 2004 as a developmental department for Jamiatul Ummah.

Jamiatul Ummah is probably the only Muslim school in the UK to have a project office setup that dedicated to the continuous development of the school. 

Project Officer

Jamiatul Ummah has a dedicated and a highly experienced full-time Project Officer, who raises funds on an on going basis and carries out numerous other development projects such as:

  • advancement of IT for the school,
  • improvement of department in terms of refurbishments etc.

So far the Project Office has made some major significant improvements, by:

  • Design and the construction of a brand new state of the art ICT suite
  • Design and the construction of a brand new state of the art Science Lab
  • Installation of CCTV inside and outside of the school building
  • Installation of Ciscos IP Phones
  • Industry standard Content Management System website

  • Refining, expanding, developing and growing the contact database.

  • Project management of the implementation of the Jamiatul Ummah Website.
  • Continuous work on the development of better ICT and technological improvements in Darul Ummah to enhance work efficiency and productivity
  • Creating and maintaining on going link and contact with local and national voluntary organisations
  • Building and maintaining ongoing partnership with other schools near Jamiatul Ummah
  • Managing volunteers and carrying out volunteer appraisals
  • Organising PR events, liaising with the media and writing press releases
  • Liaising with stakeholders such as councillors, businesses and schools
  • Organising large to medium size conferences
  • Advising the Executive Council on various organisational and community development matters
